Merthyr.org is having a facelift and will be online soon. This website will be the voice of the people of Merthyr Tydfil. Mainstream local Press does not report freely and is influenced by local authorities thus feeding you with what they want you to know, which most of the time does not reflect the whole truth and is blatantly one sided. We have a Court Service which is tied too closely with Local Authority which makes the system unfair and bias. We need people to help make this website work so if you have anything to contribute no matter how small then get in touch. Have you had a bad experience with a Local Authority department or the Police Service then let us all know....YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY !. Raising money for a good cause then let us know and we will help by featuring your cause and placing a Donate link on the website. Remember this website is your website so anything you wish to see included then let us know. The main focal point will be our Forum where you will be able to read other peoples posts and comment or offer advice.

Merthyr Tydfil is officially the UK’s sick note Capitol. With a population of 55.000 and 1 in every 5 of the working population claiming they are too ill to go to work.

After having to put in £4 very often when I have no change I started to count up the cost in lost change. So far the machines owe me £5.50. This got me thinking how much the Council gets per annum through un given change at the parking meters. Here is a clamping firm illegally parked in the disabled parking area behind the Police Station in Merthyr Town Centre. Looks like this clamping firm abides by it’s own laws. We would love to hear from this firm to see what feeble excuse they will throw at us as to why they thought it fine for them to park there for over 40 minutes but not joe public. This was witnessed by 8 or more witnesses who were stunned at the cheek of this clamping firm.
